Service
I serve as treasurer of the British Society of Philosophy and co-chair of the UK Spinoza Circle.
I've been a reviewer for Oxford University Press, Philosopher's Imprint, Philosophical Quarterly, Ergo, Nöus, Archiv für Geschichte der Philosophie, the British Journal for the History of Philosophy, the Journal of Early Modern Philosophy, and the Southern Journal of Philosophy.
Journalism
I write opinion articles using my philosophical skills to analyse social and political issues. I'm especially interested in understanding the challenges that new populism and far-right groups pose to democracy, the social implications of new technological developments, and the connection between these.I have written in Proceso, Aristegui Noticias, SinEmbargo, Letras Libres, and Diario de Yucatán. Additionally I collaborated in the radio and tv news-show Aristegui en Vivo with a weekly section titled 'Razones y Sinrazones'.
Interdisciplinary Collaborations
Council member at the interdisciplinary Laboratory of Hate and Harmony of the Seminar on Violence and Peace (El Colegio de México).
