I am an Assistant Professor in Philosophy at the University of Nottingham. I also serve as treasurer and management committee member of the British Society for the History of Philosophy and co-chair of the UK Spinoza Circle.
I did my postdoctoral research at Humboldt University Berlin as an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellow (2023). I was also an Associate Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of St. Andrews (2022-2023). I completed my PhD at the University of Edinburgh (2021).

My area of specialisation is Early Modern Philosophy, with a particular focus on Spinoza's metaphysics. I'm currently co-editing a forthcoming volume on Spinoza's account of attributes with Karolina Hübner (currently under contract with Oxford University Press) and preparing an Element on his account of the place of mentality in nature (under contract with Cambridge University Press). I have a strong and growing interest in the theoretical philosophy of J.S.Mill and 19th century British empiricism.
I complement my academic writing with journalistic articles in México. I've written in Proceso, Aristegui Noticias, SinEmbargo, and Letras Libres, and collaborated with the radio show Aristegui en Vivo.
